Acquired by The Chartres Lodging Group in February 2006, the 359-room Inn of Chicago, a half-block from the Magnificent Mile, was reborn in July 2007 following a multimillion-dollar interior renovation designed by Kokua to blend the classic 1928 property with boutique-hotel elegance and re-establish it as one of the city's premiere hotel destinations. The repositioned hotel, christened the Inn of Chicago Magnificent Mile, now stands as one of Chicago's most unique independent properties following the discontinuation of its more than 20-year affiliation with Best Western.
